IPS or TN panel: which is better?
When purchasing a player, we always consider the resolution and size of the player screen first. However, the screen is a complex component. Here we clearly present the screen panels to you.
The most commonly used display types in players are TN and IPS panels. TN is the oldest of the LCD technologies and stands for Twisted Nematic. This refers to the twisted nematic effect, where it is possible to control liquid crystal molecules with voltage. IPS stands for in-plane switching and uses voltage to control the alignment of liquid crystals. However, IPS panels use parallel orientation and rotate.
Two of the biggest advantages of TN panels are responsiveness with higher refresh rates and low cost. IPS panels always make sense when it comes to color fastness and independence from viewing angles - especially when photo and video editing.
