Customer review of dual screen DVD player

This DVD player (master) and second screen (slave) is ideal for our bus trips. which we now have behind us. So the device has been tested and I can give a very good recommendation with a clear conscience. This may help others looking for the “perfect” device at a reasonable price. We have 1 child. Why did I choose this model? It makes a lot of sense to make sure that the device has a battery and a memory function. So we mainly operate the device in the car with the car charging cable. For example, if you switch off the engine at the gas station, the device simply continues to run on the battery. If you take a break and switch off, the device starts at the last place you were. These 2 functions are really very practical. Operating the device with the remote control is now really self-explanatory and easy. Our 5 year old would probably be able to do it too, but as parents we want to have control during the trip. DVD change, volume, switching between playing DVDs, films via USB/or Memory card or just music. So it made sense for the little one to just attach the screen/slave to dad's headrest and place the actual player/master with mom, who could then operate everything from the passenger seat. All cables are of sufficient length for our needs.

If you like, you can take the player with you to the hotel/tent and the child can watch their favorite pieces even when they are away from home. It can even be connected to a television using the included cable (black/red/yellow - of course no HDMI). The second screen simply remains plugged in in the car.

Attachment in the car to the back of the front seats or to the headrests. Two brackets are included, which probably promise the best hold. Each consists of 2 parts, whereby part 1 is attached to the headrest and can remain there, and part 2 is screwed to the monitor and the angle can also be adjusted. Part 2 is then inserted into part 1. In most cases (depending on the type of car or the characteristics of the headrest) it should work very easily. Alternatively, straps are also included with which the system can be tied around the headrest. If that's not enough for you, the provider offers a kind of bag as an optional accessory that is attached to the headrest and the device is then inserted. I was skeptical, but was able to find a good solution with the above-mentioned click mount. We drive a latest model Volvo XC60 SUV. The headrest is not, as is often the case, inserted into the driver's seat with two thin iron rods and can be adjusted in height. Part 1 is usually attached to these 2 iron bars by clamping it in between. The Volvo has thick square tubes and the seat and the support are practically one. Nevertheless, I was able to attach part 1 to the seat very well using cable ties, so that I can use this type of attachment with the click system. It sounds tinkered, but in the end it was quite easy, clean and stable. It should be said that either way, especially if the heavier player is hanging at the back, the device with the holder wobbles a bit on bumpy rides when it hangs freely. From my point of view, there is nothing wrong with letting it “sit on or rest against” the seat at the bottom edge, if the angle of inclination allows it. Reduces vibrations. 2. We use the bracket in our Mondeo, where it could be easily attached “normally”, i.e. without cable ties.

It should also be said that you should of course not expect image quality a la flat screen from your living room or expensive tablet. For me, however, the picture and sound are absolutely satisfactory, although of course it always depends on the medium to be reproduced. The decisive factor for “good vision” is the viewing angle of the monitor and therefore the installation variant. There were no problems with DVDs. Of course, the player makes a running noise when playing a DVD. However, this is absolutely bearable. The device won't either

And our conclusion: Finally a relaxing long car ride. The goal of purchasing the devices was more than fully achieved. I'm sure our kids would be very sad if we dismantled the devices again.
