Customer reviews – Great DVD player for on the go

I absolutely love this DVD set. Apparently there are different versions, but I chose the set with 2x 10.1'' DVD players . One serves as a master and the other as a slave, although the roles can be changed as desired thanks to the AV-In and AV-Out connections. To use the function, the slave must be switched to AV-In mode, which can be easily done using the tactile remote control by pressing a button on "Mode".
What I particularly like is that both devices are full-fledged DVD players and can play DVDs separately. They also have SD card and USB slots. It is important to know that the USB port supports sticks up to 128 GB (FAT32), but not hard drives.
The power supply in the car is easily provided via the cigarette lighter cable with two connections for both monitors. A power supply unit is included in the package for use at home or in the holiday apartment, but only with one connection. Luckily, both monitors can be operated independently using the built-in battery.
The image quality is impressive with a resolution of 1024x600, but films are only played back with a maximum resolution of 720x576 (DVD format). But don't worry, I converted my movies to AVI files using Xvid codec and XMediaRecode software proved ideal here. The sound quality in MP3 format with 48 kHz and 192 kBit sampling rate is also top.
A little note about the aspect ratio: The maximum default is 720x576, and the aspect ratio of the source must be maintained to avoid black borders. If the film still doesn't display correctly, you can change the monitor to "Wide" in the setup.
The battery life of around 6 hours when playing films via USB stick is quite solid, but it will be a little shorter in DVD mode. The picture is bright and clear, the sound comes across well in stereo. I bought headphones for my children, although it should be noted that there is only one headphone jack per monitor.
A quick comparison to my previous 7'' set with a stupid monitor and a broken AV cable made me buy this set. The difference from 7 to 10 inches is impressive, and my kids were overjoyed, especially since they can now watch different movies independently.
As far as mounting in the car is concerned, the devices have fold-out stands and can be placed stably on a table. There is an included hard shell for the headrests, in which the monitors are secured with Velcro, and additional laces ensure a firm hold. These are very stable and can be closed securely - a great solution compared to my old set.
Finally, I would like to say a word about delivery. I urgently needed the set for our vacation and ordered it via "Morning Express". Amazon didn't disappoint me and delivered the package just after 9 a.m. the next morning - just great!
Thank you, AutojoyDE , for this great product and first class service! I can recommend the DVD set to anyone who wants to watch films flexibly on the go.
